December 29th is usually a time of year where worry about weather there will be a blizzard or not. We also worry about how the roads will be and if we will be able to make it to our destination. When Hannah and Matthew first contacted me about their wedding, I already began my plans to make sure to have a location to stay at. I made plans to stay at my in-laws the day before, and the night of, all in preparation for our Minnesota weather. No one prepared us for a brown December, or even a brown winter at that.

I was for once secretly praying for a good fresh snowfall for Hannah and Matthews wedding day, as I have always wanted to capture a winter wedding, which was something very rare in Minnesota. However, instead of fresh snow on the ground, we woke to the beautiful site of some magical Hoar Frost covering every single inch of our brown Minnesota landscaping. I was both excited and a little worried that the frost would not stick around for the beautiful wedding that was about to take place that day.

I remember walking into the bridal suite at the Braham Event Center, in Braham, MN and saying to Hannah, "I can not believe the beautiful scenery outside. I think you need to hurry up and get ready so we have a chance at capturing it in your photos." We both chuckled, because with both knew we could not rush the magic that was happening in the Bridal Suite, as all the girls with getting their hair and make-up done.

As the day began to move forward, the frost remained and we were able to capture the magic and the beauty of it in their first look, chammpagne pop, and bridal photos. It was trully a dream come true.

Their day went off without a hitch. From the beautiful Hoar Frost, to the grooms large family ( there were 33 people in just his family photos alone, as the groom had 23 siblings) putting on a wonderfully choreographed dance from the grooms homeland. I was so honored to be a part of their special day.

A Few Words from the Couple

Matt and I wanted to say thank you SO much for capturing our wedding day perfectly. Each photo is a great reminder of our special day and you were able to capture every single detail perfectly. We have enjoyed looking through all of the photos and sharing them with the ones we love most. You truly made our day even more special.

Thank you for helping us stay organized, leading up to the wedding with your timeline and shot list. 33 people in one family photo is quite large, and somehow you managed it seamlessly!

We truly appreciate everything that you did for us and can’t wait to see you again in the future for more photo opportunities.

Thanks again,

Hannah & Matt
